ISACA Pittsburgh Chapter invites you to attend the Information Security Awareness Day Conference (8 CPE's for $40 for ISACA members; $50 for non-members) at Rivers Casino!

The Conference will be held on Monday, December 5th, 2022.

The ISACA Pittsburgh Information Security Awareness Day Conference is the premier educational event for Information Systems Audit and Information Security professionals in the Western Pennsylvania area. With a chapter membership of approximately 600, the ISACA Pittsburgh Chapter is represented by employees of over 150 companies, academic institutions, and government entities throughout the region.

Thanks in part to corporate and vendor sponsorships, this conference is the top educational value for IS Audit and Cybersecurity professionals in Pittsburgh. Each year the event has grown significantly from the prior year. Over 300 IS Audit and Security professionals from all lines of business in the Tri-State area registered for last year’s virtual event, as well as representatives from other local professional security and audit associations and neighboring ISACA chapters.  It is also important to note that our event is attended by many VP, Manager, and Director level personnel that are key decision makers in the IT, IT audit and security departments of their organizations.

ISACA Pittsburgh was nominated for and won, the 2018 ISACA Innovative Chapter Program Award in the Large Chapter category (301-800 members) for the 2017 InfoSec Conference.  This award is presented to only four ISACA chapters globally each year, one from each chapter-size category, to recognize outstanding programs that demonstrate an innovative approach to member engagement, continuing education, or community outreach.

If you or your company would like to sponsor the event, please head over to our Sponsor Page.

Keynote Speaker: Brett Johnson

Former United States Most Wanted, Brett Johnson, referred to by the United States Secret Service as "The Original Internet Godfather" has been a central figure in the cybercrime world for over 20 years.  Mr. Johnson built and was the leader of ShadowCrew, the precursor to today's darknet markets.  He was instrumental in developing many areas of online fraud while helping design, implement, and refine modern Identity Theft, Account Take Over Fraud, Card Not present Fraud, IRS Tax Fraud, and countless other social engineering attacks, breaches, and hacking operations.

Upon his capture, the United States Secret Service hired Johnson to work as a consultant and informant.  Johnson worked with the Secret Service for several months before going on a cross-county crime spree, being placed on the US Most Wanted List, being captured again, sent to prison, escaping prison, being captured yet again, and finally accepting responsibility for his actions.

Today Johnson works as a security consultant and public speaker.  He is one of the world's foremost authorities on cybercrime and identity theft.  During 2017, Johnson was Keynote Speaker at over 30 conferences worldwide. Johnson has been featured in the book "Kingpin" by Kevin Poulsen and on numerous media outlets, including the New York Times, NBC, CNN Money, Wired Magazine, Vice, RT TV, ArsTechnica, The Independent, and more.
