Today, threat actors are moving faster than ever. You can’t protect against unknown threats that create (unknown) risk. The traditional rules-based identity and access management (IAM) systems are not capable of reacting fast enough to these unknown threats. Since the late 90s, when most IAM systems were first architected, there have been significant technological advances around the cloud, SaaS, robotic process automation and machine learning. In today’s presentation, we’ll review the state of IAM affairs and what the IAM industry – and vendors - need to do to better to address the ever-changing threat landscape. Further, we’ll discuss how some of the latest technological advances can help protect us better.
