SUMMARY
The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) refers to the rise of a complex matrix of interweaving technologies that include cloud computing, mobile apps, IoT devices, and robotics. Although it offers boundless opportunities, its arrival is accompanied by ever more sophisticated threats. Data breaches, data ransom plots, and email hacks threaten all of us. Cybersecurity teams, systems auditors, and internal controls teams are hard-pressed to prepare themselves for this new reality. But they are even more challenged to communicate how to deal with the complex old and new risks in language and ways that are readily understandable across all their stakeholder groups.

It is high priority and high time to design and upgrade to sustainable information systems controls and strategies that can maximally defend against the new breed of 4IR threats. Accomplishing this no small task requires hiring experts who have not only the hard tech skills required, but the people-to-people skills necessary to communicate clearly in lay terms and do so amiably.

In this dynamic presentation, J. Eduardo will share insights gained from his 25 years of work in global organizations, his globetrotting speaking engagements, and his research for his book, From Problem Solving to Solution Design: Turning Ideas into Actions.

Come for a thought-provoking session on the upgrades crucially required in tech hiring practices and for best practices in crafting solutions that enable a sustainable control environment in the challenging new reality of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
