COBIT 2019 Foundation Certificate Program

Over the years, best-practice frameworks have been developed and promoted to assist in the process of understanding, designing and implementing enterprise governance of IT (EGIT). COBIT 2019 builds on and integrates more than 25 years of development in this field, not only incorporating new insights from science, but also operationalizing these insights as practice.
Learners will dive into the heart and structure of the COBIT framework, including:

Designing a tailored governance system
From its foundation in the IT audit community, COBIT has developed into a broader and more comprehensive information and technology (I&T) governance and management framework and continues to establish itself as a generally accepted framework for I&T governance.
Course Learning Outcomes:
At the conclusion of this course, attendees will be able to understand:
Recognize the context, benefits and key reasons COBIT is used as an information and technology governance framework.
Explain the key attributes of the COBIT framework
Compare the COBIT principles for governance system framework.
Describe the components of a governance system:
Describe the elements of governance and management objectives.
Differentiate COBIT based performance management using maturity and capability perspectives.
Discover how to design a tailored governance system using COBIT.
Explain the key points of the COBIT business case.
Describe the relationships between the COBIT Design and Implementation Guides.
Prepare for the COBIT 2019 Foundation exam
The COBIT 2019 Foundation Certificate Exam is an online, closed-book, remotely proctored exam. The exam covers eight domains and includes a total of 75 questions. The exam will test a candidate’s understanding of the topics and those that achieve a passing score on the COBIT 2019 Foundation exam receive the COBIT 2019 Foundation Certificate.

Mr. Avinash W. Kadam
CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, CISSP, CSSLP, GSEC, GCIH, COBIT 2019 Foundation Approved Trainer
Mr. Kadam is a leading authority on Information Security and IT Governance. He has more than five decades of experience in Information Technology Management and Governance, Information Systems Audit, Information Security Consulting and Training.
Mr. Kadam has served as a Vice President of ISACA International Board for two years from 2006 to 2008. He was President of ISACA Mumbai Chapter from 1998 to 2000. He is the recipient of ISACA’s Harold Weiss Award for 2005, “Given to Recognize Dedication to the IS Audit, Control and Security Profession”.
Mr. Kadam has written several articles about COBIT 5 and co-authored a publication “Securing Sensitive Personal Data or Information under India’s IT Act Using COBIT 5”. He was a project coordinator and advisor for another publication from ISACA - “RBI Guidelines Mapping with COBIT5”. He was an approved trainer for COBIT 5 and conducted a number of training programs for COBIT 5 Foundation, Assessor and Implementer.
He holds B.E. (Mechanical), A.M.I.E. (Electronics and Telecommunication) and M.F.M. (Master in Financial Management) degrees and a string of information security certificates that he also teaches.
