Shifting the Corporate Mindset: Cyber Risk as a Business Risk

When:  Jun 12, 2019 from 08:30 to 10:30 (ET)
Associated with  Rhode Island Chapter

In cybersecurity and cyber risk management, one size does not fit all. Every business is unique, with their own strategy, their own identity, and their own tolerance for risk.

During this session, we will discuss how to effectively manage cyber insecurity as a business risk, communicate these types of risks in business terms, and begin to create a culture of awareness and accountability throughout the organization. After all, cyber is not just an IT risk!

John Mumford, Chief Risk Officer at Fellsway Group, will introduce you to the ‘Pathway to Risk Intelligence’ – a framework to ensure that the fundamentals of your cyber program are covered. Further, John will discuss how to identify what business processes are most vital to your organization and how to align your cyber program so that it ties back to the corporate goals and objectives.

This session will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of cyber risk – a complex problem that cannot be fully resolved but can be managed with cost-effective measures that can be leveraged to minimize financial, operational, and reputational impacts.
