Blockchain technologies have been around for over a decade now but other than Bitcoin, few know much about them and even fewer understand how it all works. Through this quick crash course, we will dive into how the block chain actually functions, the technologies involved with different types of implementations and what the implication is for different types of blockchain deployments. We will then explore how the blockchain is being developed for use in industry and government and how others are using it for less than scrupulous objectives.

-Learn the core parts of a block chain and their implications for use
-Demonstrate how a block chain works by real world examples
-Review some of the different technologies being developed
-Discuss some of the industries darker sides
-Review how real world deployments being used or are in development
