During the two online workshops, we will learn how to install Tableau, connect to data sources, create compelling, informative visualizations, and eventually present them to your audience to be used for decision making purposes.

Workshop-1 will start with the basics of Tableau and we will demonstrate how to create and manipulate data visualizations, e.g., highlight tables, charts, scatter plots, histograms, maps, and dashboards, and to share your visualizations.
Workshop-2:
Date: Friday, July 17, 2020
Time: 6pm-7:30pm
Workshop-2 will review the basics and focus on intermediate to advanced features and functions, e.g., built-in functions, calculated fields, parameters, what-if scenarios, and stories.
About Tolgay Kizilelma
Tolgay has over twenty-five years of industry business-IT experience covering the whole IT spectrum. He is currently leading cybersecurity efforts as the Chief Information Security Officer at UC Merced. He is an advocate of lifelong learning and teaches graduate business analytics courses at Saint Mary's College of California. His current research interests are cybersecurity, digital transformation, business analytics, and educational IT programs. He has various industry certifications, a BS degree in computer engineering, an MBA, and PhD focusing on information security, quality, and patient safety. He is serving as the Government and Regulatory Advocacy Director for ISACA Sacramento Chapter.
