Artificial intelligence (AI) presents new opportunities for organizations but also creates unique challenges for auditors. This presentation will explore how auditing AI-driven systems differ from traditional IT audits, focusing on value delivery, risks, and the main challenges auditors face. We will address the ethical and governance implications, strategies for effective risk management, and the evolving role of AI in shaping the future of audits.
Speaker BIO:
Gustavo is the Vice President of the ISACA São Paulo Chapter. He holds a PhD and MSc in Business Administration from FEA/USP and an MBA and Bachelor's degree from PUC/SP. He has certifications in CISA, CRISC, CDPSE, PMP, as well as COBIT and ITIL Foundation and Scrum Master Certificate. He is part of the Auditing AI Practice Analysis Task Force (PATF). Gustavo has over 25 years of experience in the IT field, having worked as an Analyst, Developer, Systems Auditor, Project Manager, Consultant, and Expert, among other roles. He is a Partner at Galegale & Associados, serving clients of various sizes, both public and private. Gustavo is also the Founder, CTO, Advisor, and Mentor of technology-based startups, currently focusing on AI and Digital Platforms. Additionally, he is the IT Management MBA Coordinator at FIAP and a postgraduate professor at USP, Coimbra Business School, IBGC, and other institutions.
