We read in the news almost daily about a new ransomware attack. However, the part usually left out are the details of how it happened, how the bleeding was stopped, the recovery process, and ultimately what gets implemented to try and keep it from happening again. I will be sharing real-world stories from my time as a vCISO.  

This presentation is open to the public, available at no cost, and designed for curious minds of all ages and level(s) of technological experience. Participants will receive 1 CPE for attending/participating in the presentation.

  Brent Forrest is driven by a passion for leading organizations back to the basics through a focus on reducing tool set complications without sacrificing critical visibility. Possessing 8+ years of experiencing establishing Cybersecurity programs for an Oil & Gas organization, achieving a security culture that extended from executive leadership down to the personal lives of individual employees- the most important assets for any organization.  Additionally, the past 4 years were spent as a vCISO building the cybersecurity practice for a reseller. That has since changed to being the CISO for Crash Champions, one of the largest collision repair companies in the United States.
