| As Data Privacy and Data Protection are becoming key Business concerns and Risks, very much like Cybersecurity, organizations across are struggling to keep data and sensitive information of their customers, employees, vendors and other interested parties protected with variety of systems, processes and tools. In addition, staying in continuous compliance with EU GDPR, CCPA, PIPIEDA and other plethora of legislations is also a very daunting and challenging task. |
| ISO 27701: 2019 is one of the most effective answers that is intended to address all the above issues as it provides a comprehensive, uniform, consistent, auditable and global framework for Data Protection and Privacy. Like its parents ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 27002: 2013, the new standard is taking the whole world by storm due to its amazing similarities, interrelations and dependency on its parents. |
| ISO 27701 is based on “Privacy by Design” principles and helps develop a consistent approach to the development and implementation of Privacy Information Management System (PIMS), very similar to Information Security Management System (ISMS) under ISO 27001: 2013 standard. |

He is also a Lead auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 20001:2018, ISO 27701: 2019, Responsible Care and IEC 62443 Lead Assessor and TUV SUD Certified Functional Safety Engineer. Ashit works as an Independent Lead Assessor and Consultant with some of the Global Certification and Consulting Companies. His clients include some of the best known and Fortune -500 companies in the areas of Oil and Gas, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Energy, Utilities, Banking and Financial Services, Software and IT, Telecom, Healthcare, Life Sciences and so on. Ashit is a member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE) and Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group (ICSJWG) owned by DHS / CISA.
