September 2020 Webinar 3 (1 CPE) - Encryption as a privacy solution after the invalidation of Privacy Shield in Schrems II

Summary:
On July 16th the Court of Justice of the European Union invalidated Privacy Shield and effectively imposed on organizations exporting data out of the EU the obligation to ensure effective “adequate safeguards” are in place to ensure privacy and prevent surveillance. Encryption has long been a prominent technical solve to enhance security and guard against surveillance, but there have been pit-falls that made its use either impractical or cost-prohibited. Join us for a discussion as to how new advances in encryption can be effectively deployed to comply with the EU mandate and enhance security.
