Session 1 -  What is Software Asset Management? – IT Cost Savings and Security
This session will focus on the fact that over 70 percent of IT leaders say they have not created a formal Software Asset Management (SAM) strategy, which means many companies lack a clear view of their virtual assets. Failure to conduct SAM assessments leads to increased cyber security exposure, inefficient IT spend and high legal and reputational risk around noncompliance.

Speaker Profile:
Brian Watson is a leader in the Firm’s Royalty Licensing and Forensics Practice and has 10 years of public accounting experience providing contract advisory services with an emphasis in software asset management, royalties and software license compliance. His experience includes building and managing global license compliance and asset management programs resulting in millions of dollars in revenue recovery and cost savings for his clients. He has a deep understanding of business process and a technical information systems background specific to technology, IT management and data analytics.
Prior to joining the Firm in 2019, Brian worked for KPMG as a director in their major projects and contract advisory practice. At KPMG he managed and helped grow multiple software publishers’ license compliance programs.
Watson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Santa Clara University.
Session 2 - My Leadership Journey
In the presentation of her leadership journey, Leda will speak about lessons learned, challenges faced, coaching, mentorship, and stepping out the comfort zone.  In her journey, Leda will share her encounters, choices and career shifts that were made along the way   Topics that will be covered are reflection, feedback, relationship building and networking and the tools used on the journey.

Speaker Profile:
Leda Muller is the CISO/Assistant Director of Support Services for Residential and Dining Enterprises at Stanford University. She has been in Information Technology for over 18 years, and is responsible for Residential and Dining Enterprises Cyber Security and PCI strategy and program, ensuring proper protection of the enterprise information assets, technology and business processes.  She is passionate about engaging end users in understanding how security is everyone’s job and has built a successfully security steering team of business operators.  She has an extensive background in building, implementing and successfully delivering solutions to business units and end users.  
Prior to joining Stanford, she worked at MediaFlex.Com in overseeing the creation and development of the CRM Department and with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Santa Clara County as the Director of Fund Raising and Community Development.  Early in her career she worked in purchasing with Rockwell International Space Systems Division supporting the Space Shuttle.
Leda holds B.A. in Sociology from Whittier College, and an MBA and Master’s degree in Information Systems and is CISM, PCIP, ITIL and GSTRT certified.
Session 3 - My Career Path Is Not a Straight Line – the Choices I Made
She will be presenting on her career path, and the choices she made while working her way into the roles she achieved. Primarily, her career path is not a straight line. There were many choices, decisions and sacrifices that were made to achieve the roles she wanted.

Speaker Profile:
Terra Terrall has more than 20 years of information technology experience in security, privacy, audit and compliance. For over 15 years, Terra was an adjunct professor of IT Systems and Management for the University of Phoenix. She an MSCIS (Master’s of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems), and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. She is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), is a member of ISACA, and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
