Topic 1: SASE Unleashed: Redefining Network Security for the Cloud
Brief: Introduction of SASE, which is a cloud-based architecture that provides both network security as a service (SSE) and wide-area networking (WAN) services. SASE is designed to securely connect and protect data transmission between edge devices (mobile users, branch offices, and data centers).
Speaker Bio: Kaushal has over 15 years of technical, management, and leadership experience in the networking and security industry. Previously as a global leader of Secure Access Service Edge ("SASE") at Netskope, Kaushal developed and implemented a global enablement strategy to support technical enablement for customers, partners, and sales organizations, and drive product adoption and operationalization of SASE solutions.
Topic 2: Security Assurance and Compliance
Brief: Security culture is essential for achieving a culture of compliance. IT leaders are tasked with linking security assurance with organizational values. However, cyber compliance has traditionally been approached as a bottom-up problem and addressed with disjointed ideas that mistake effort as value. The session will cover challenges and opportunities around cybersecurity compliance through cultural changes that align with organizational vision, goals, and values.
Speaker Bio: Tolgay Kizilelma, PhD is a business-driven IT leader with three decades of experience. He currently serves as the Director of the MS in Cybersecurity Program at the Dominican University of California, Barowsky School of Business where he also teaches as an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity. As an adjunct faculty at Saint Mary’s College of California, he has been teaching various data analytics courses as part of the Master of Science in Business Analytics ("MSBA") and Professional MBA graduate programs since 2017. He previously served as the Chief Information Security Officer at multiple University of California campuses.
