Network Scanning Basics – The What, The Why and the How does it Measure up?
Presented by Leighton Johnson

In today’s cyber-driven business environment, the status and state of the network and all devices on the network need to be constantly monitored for potential areas of changing risk. The primary tools for accomplishing this monitoring are network and vulnerability scanners. This class will present the various types of scanners used today, such as network discovery scanners, vulnerability scanners, website scanners and others. We will discuss and then demonstrate each of these, and then engage the students by providing in-class student demonstrations for each of these scanners. Work station machines for these demos will be provided.
