AHS 2|23 - Human Risk Assessment – Understanding the human factor in cyber incidents
Various statistics show that over 80 percent of data breaches world-wide originate internally and include some form of human error. What do we really know about cyber incidents and data breaches and how they happen? While we rely on technology for effective security controls, we need to address the fundamental reasons why we as human beings make mistakes and are susceptible to manipulation. We must first better understand the very nature of human risk. Only then we can identify the key risk and apply the right measures to effectively manage them.
