SheLeadsTech Project Management Workshop 

SheLeadsTech will be hosting a free Project Management Workshop on May 10, 2019.  All women and men from the Tallahassee tech community are welcome to come and participate in this workshop lead by three dynamic presenters:

   

Project Management Overview (Speaker: Tara Kyvik)

Tara will provide an overview of project management, career highlights as a project manager, skills needed to be successful, top challenges faced by project managers (including gender based) and tips for overcoming them.

Project Management Instruction Part 1: Speaker: Keith Berry

Keith will discuss:

  • How to develop or best practices for developing a project plan
  • Breaking out smaller projects (but still in the plan) from the larger one
  • Creating a business impact document

Project Management Instruction Part 2: Speaker: Artesa Anderson

Artesa will discuss:

  • How to convey to executives the importance of plan
  • Best practices for managing vendor relationships during projects
  • Best practices for providing status updates
  • Tips for preparing team for the project
  • Managing a Cybersecurity Project Team

Breakfast will be provided for all participants and will be catered by Payne-Less Events.  There will be several opportunities to network with other professionals as well.
