Security information and event management – SIEM

When:  Nov 14, 2018 from 08:30 to 16:30 (ET)
Associated with  Toronto Chapter

Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) is now a mature enterprise technology solution developed with the goal of introducing greater intelligence and automation into the collection, correlation analysis of log and alert data, which, in turn, should allow security analysts to focus on what is most important. This session will tell you:

  • What is a SIEM, how does it work, and where does it fit into my security strategy vs. security analytics or data lakes?

  • What does modern SIEM technology look like and how is it evolving? How can I differentiate between the different types of SIEM solutions available?

  • How can I establish a successful SIEM program?

  • What information is going in (and coming out of) my SIEM?

  • How do we start to employ Artificial Intelligence into our SIEM and our Security Operations programs?

  • How can you work better with a Managed Services provider to meet your overall risk objectives?
