When:  May 27, 2020 from 12:00 to 13:00 (BOT)
Associated with  Trinidad & Tobago Chapter

ISACA Trinidad and Tobago wishes everyone to be safe in these COVID-19 times. As we continue to practice social distancing protocols, we offer another webinar providing an overview of the IT Risk Management Process and taking a closer look at some elements of culture that better enable it.

Overview

Management of IT related risk requires a holistic approach that is equally and purposely mindful of the risk culture impact to the IT Risk Management program, in addition to other key considerations.

Topics to be covered include:

A brief review of
o   The general nature of risk and IT-related risk in particular.
o   Common approaches to managing IT-related risk via Frameworks & Standards
o   The ISO 31000 Risk Management Process

A closer look at concepts which may impact a risk management culture, including:
o   The impact of the way risk is commonly perceived or mis-perceived.
o   Avoiding the danger of “moral hazards” and “group polarization” through engagement and involvement.
o   Transitioning from compliant behaviour to committed behaviour via behaviour modification.
o   Understanding “Target Fixation” and how it can particularly derail the risk treatment phase.
