Shiva Parasram is the founder of the Computer Forensics and Security Institute (CFSI), established in 2011. With two decades of experience in cybersecurity, he specialises in enterprise risk management, penetration testing, digital forensics, and dark web research.
He is the author of four books on penetration testing and digital forensics, published internationally by Packt, and has delivered risk assessments and security services to leading organisations in the financial, energy, and technology sectors across the Caribbean and beyond.
Recognised as one of the region’s leading experts on ransomware, data leaks, and dark web threats, Shiva also publishes one of the only dedicated ransomware reports for CARICOM and the Caribbean. His insights are regularly sought by media outlets and industry stakeholders.
In addition to consulting, he serves as a Senior Cybersecurity Lecturer and mentor, helping to develop the next generation of security professionals.
He holds a Master’s degree in Network Security, over 20 international certifications—including CEH and CCISO—and is the only EC-Council–certified instructor in the Caribbean authorised to teach the Certified Ethical Hacker course.
