Course Description

Many organizations face sudden changes to their security on a daily basis. This forces IT Security Leaders to identify and address critical threats and vulnerabilities to prevent the exposure of their organization's data. Risk Assessments allow companies to re-evaluate existing and potential risks within their IT environment, and respond to these risks using structured management practices.

This training is intended to assist IT Security and other practitioners with:
  • Understanding the importance of risk and risk culture
  • Using a risk based approach to drive business decisions
  • Creating a risk assessment process
  • Implementing a risk register and risk treatment plan
  • Monitoring risk to drive continuous improvement

Facilitator Bio

Obika Gellineau, BSc, MSc, CSXF

Obika is a Cyber Security manager in IT Advisory for KPMG Trinidad and Tobago. He has over 10 years of combined public and private sector experience in Criminal Investigations, Forensics and Information Technology. As a trusted advisor, he has been instrumental in the development and implementation of various IT Projects, Business Continuity Programs, Information Security Assessments and Enterprise Risk Management Programs for both public and private-sector clients. He is currently a Board member for both the ISACA Trinidad and Tobago Chapter and BCMIE Information Exchange, and he is the creator of the Caribbean Virus Tracker website that aggregates and tracks the COVID-19 case statistics throughout the Caribbean.
