Dr. Phaedra Mohammed

phaedra.jpgDr. Phaedra Mohammed is a Lecturer at the Department of Computing and Information Technology, at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. She has a PhD in Computer Science from UWI, and has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and Information Technology for over 10 years. Her research focuses on the use of Artificial Intelligence for developing computational models of culture and techniques for modelling and generating natural language. Her current projects include building intelligent tutors for literacy and ballet dance in Trinidad, image recognition of hot peppers in the Caribbean, and the digitization of the Dictionary of English/Creole of Trinidad and Tobago. In her spare time, Dr. Mohammed enjoys calligraphy, gardening and cycling.


Ms Louella-Anne Edwards

Louella Edwards is the Manager -  IT Services at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.   
She holds a B.Sc. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a major in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.  Louella also completed both a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from the Association of Business Executives, London and later the MSc. Degree in Engineering Management at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering UWI, St. Augustine.  She holds the designation of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and completed the Mini MBA in Telecommunications from Neotelis Inc., Canada a few years later.
Apart from holding several leadership roles across different industries, Louella has several interests inclusive of music, work within the Anglican Diocese of Trinidad and Tobago being involved in many groups and committees.
Louella served as Secretary to Board of ISACA T&T Chapter for two terms.




Ms Jacqueline Morris from ISOC-TT/iGovTT

Jacqueline Morris is a University Lecturer, Researcher, Gender and ICT Activist, and Internet Governance consultant.
She sits as a Director on the Board of the National ICT Company of Trinidad and Tobago (iGovTT).
She has been a lecturer at the University of Trinidad and Tobago, in the fields of Education Technology and Instructional Design, at the Centre for Education Programmes. She has also lectured in Process Engineering at UTT, and in Education, Digital Tourism, and Management Information Science at the UWI both at St. Augustine and Cave Hill. She has also spent many years training adults in ICT and Internet technologies, as well as focusing on increasing the participation of girls and women in technology fields.
Jacqueline was a founding member of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Gender Caucus in 2002 and was appointed a member of the United Nations’ Expert Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG) in 2004.

Within Trinidad and Tobago, she was the Chair of the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society for several years, and is currently the Interim Chair. As such, she works with other TTCS members to draft comments on ICT related laws and policies, submit such to relevant authorities, and has, on behalf of the TTCS, with others, been invited to and spoke to the Joint Select Committee on the Cybercrime Bill.





Sidone G. Reyes

Sidone is currently a student of the University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine, Trinidad and a member of UWI - ISG (ISACA Student Group). She is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. She began her advanced level education at St. Francois Girls’ College, Trinidad, where she specialized in Sciences and went on to further her study in Sciences at Sixth Form Government School, Trinidad.
Sidone works as a student assistant in the Computer Science Lab at the University of the West Indies, where she monitors and assists students utilizing computers, while maintaining order throughout the labs. She also serves as the Department Representative of the Department of Computing and Information Technology in the Faculty of Science and Technology, where she is responsible for assisting all students in this department with any issues that they don’t feel comfortable with in the school’s environment and being a liaison between them and the department. She is also the treasurer of the U.W.I. Computing Society (U.W.I.C.S.), a club designated in assisting persons from all faculties around U.W.I. understand and experience the ICT world, and the U.W.I. ISACA Student Group (UWI-ISG).
