By examining these examples, we gain a clearer understanding of how integrity is defined and demonstrated in practice.

Speaker Bios:

Zach Bowen currently leads Devon's Carbon Accounting team, where he oversees the tracking of more than $100M in carbon capital. In this role, he supports regulatory reporting to federal and state agencies and drives the development of internal controls for the organization's public Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) Report — ensuring transparency and accountability at the enterprise level.

Prior to this role, Zach served in Internal Audit, where he led both the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) programs. He managed and executed approximately 10–12 audits annually, translating findings into strategic insights that informed decision-making and strengthened compliance across the organization. Beyond execution, Zach was a mentor to his team — coaching staff on audit procedures and best practices to build capability and foster professional growth.

Throughout his career, Zach has demonstrated a consistent ability to drive operational improvement. He has led cross-functional projects to enhance auditing accuracy, developed new standard operating procedures to boost productivity and efficiency, and coordinated complex documentation, research, and data collection efforts to support detailed analyses.
