ISACA Members and Friends,
IT Auditors are increasingly being called upon to add value in innovative and diverse ways, including consulting work. However, few audit shops have a policy or defined strategy for approaching consulting engagements. We will discuss ways IT auditors can add value through consulting engagements and the approach my audit shop has taken to incorporating consulting work into our audit schedule and into our existing audits.
Presenter’s Name and her biography: Jami Shine, CIA, CISA, CRISC
Jami Shine, CIA, CISA, CRISC, graduated summa cum laude from the Honors Program at Oral Roberts University and has over 12 years of combined internal and external audit experience. She is currently the Corporate and IT Audit Manager for QuikTrip Corporation, where she manages operational, IT, and financial audits and consulting engagements. She also co-facilitates the Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) program and conducts the annual risk assessment process with the CAE. Her favorite project at QuikTrip was getting to write and facilitate a series of training videos for the 20,000+ store employees.
Jami enjoys being a volunteer facilitator for the Institute of Internal Auditors (“IIA”), leading both online and in-person trainings, as well as being a recurring speaker at MISTI’s SuperStrategies Conference, IIA chapters, and other local organizations. She also loves serving as a member of the IIA’s North American Chapter Relations Committee. She was honored with the IIA Tulsa Chapter’s “Auditor of the Year” Award in 2018.
