  • Hackers are continuing to evolve their methods of attack and the complexity to defend against these is growing more difficult by the day. Tim Brown, VP Security and CISO at SolarWinds and Sean Alexander, Principal Director of Engineering, Industry Clouds at Microsoft will be joining us for a discussion around the impacts of cybersecurity in the supply chain.

  • Tim Brown
    • Tim Brown is currently the vice president of security and CISO for SolarWinds, overseeing internal IT security, product security, and security strategy. As a former Dell Fellow, Distinguished Engineer, and CTO, Tim deeply understands the challenges and aspirations of the person responsible for driving digital innovation and change. Tim has over 25 years of experience developing and implementing security technology. Nationally, his trusted advisor status has taken him from meeting with members of Congress and the Senate to the Situation Room in the White House. Tim has also presented on current security topics before a wide number of audiences at a range of events. He is an avid inventor and holds 18 issued patents on security-related topics.
  • Sean Alexander
    • Sean Alexander is the Principal Director of Engineering, Microsoft Industry Clouds. Sean has been with Microsoft for over 20 years, having spent half of his career building products such as Visual Studio, Windows, and Xbox, and the other half advising and architecting with Fortune 500 customers and partners. Today Sean leads engineering teams working with early customers and partners on early stage technologies. A second-generation TU graduate, prior to joining Microsoft co-founded multiple startups including a tech incubator pioneering early Web and video streaming efforts with NASA JPL and others. Sean is also the co-recipient of a technical Emmy® Award for early contributions to Windows and a regular presenter at industry events.
