The presentation will introduce the transformative world of AI, breaking down its core concepts to build a strong foundation of understanding. From there, we’ll dive into critical topics such as AI governance, trusted resources, and cybersecurity—equipping organizations and communities to embrace AI with confidence, responsibility, and purpose.

Julio Tirado| Director of Internal Audit | SpiritBank

Julio is the Executive Vice President and Director of Internal Audit at SpiritBank, a community bank headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With over 18 years of experience in internal audit, cybersecurity, and risk management in the banking sector, he specializes in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) governance, advocating for the secure, ethical, and responsible adoption of emerging technologies in regulated industries.

Julio is an active leader in the professional community, spearheading AI Roundtable initiatives for various organizations and serving on the Board of BSides Oklahoma, a cybersecurity conference dedicated to hands-on training and practical knowledge sharing. He holds several industry-recognized certifications, including the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), and Accredited Artificial Intelligence Auditor (AAIA).

A passionate advocate for continuous learning and personal growth, Julio is committed to helping professionals and organizations navigate the evolving intersection of innovation, risk, and governance. Outside of his professional work, he is also a long-time practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a discipline that reflects his dedication to perseverance, strategy, and lifelong improvement.
