About

ABOUT OUR CHAPTER

Welcome to the ISACA Utah Chapter. The aim of the Chapter is to sponsor local educational seminars and workshops, conduct regular chapter meetings, and help to further promote and elevate the visibility of the IS audit, control and security profession throughout the area.

ISACA (previously the Information Systems Audit and Control Association) is a world wide association of IS governance professionals. The association currently focuses on assurance, security, and governance and provides globally recognized certification in assurance (Certified Information Systems Auditor), security (Certified Information Security Manager), and governance (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT).

The association is one of individual members, often the sole practitioner of information systems auditing, security, and/or governance in his or her company. The membership of the ISACA reflects a multiplicity of backgrounds and skills that make the information systems governance field challenging and dynamic.

The Utah Chapter is the 4th ISACA Chapter.

UTAH Chapter Board Members:
Bryan Berry - Chapter President
Mark Wilkins - Treasurer
Austin Gundersen - Secretary
Mary Huth - Membership Director

This chapter is run by volunteers who are ISACA members nominated through ISACA Annual General Meeting (AGM). ISACA members' participations in running the chapter are highly encouraged.

  • Continuous Assurance and Continuous Compliance via Data, Graph, Query and Code

    Dec 18, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM (MT)
Attackers see your digital environment in 3D. They know time is on their side because most vulnerabilities will have to be stumbled upon. For organizations to level the playing field, they need to move from viewing their environment linearly, in two dimensions, to three. To do that, tools need to change. The way data and relationships are mapped needs to change. A graph, not a checklist, is the only way to represent this complexity in a meaningful way. See how LifeOmic streamlines their DevOps process using a graph data model as augmented intelligence to achieve data-driven, automated security operations in the cloud. We'll share our strategy doing a minimum of 20 deploys/week through a continuous security/compliance approach. View it as ‘compliance as code'.
