Data Center (and data/wiring closet) physical security...it's worse than you could imagine.
Learning Objectives:
This presentation will enable IT security managers, auditors and those with responsibility over governance and risk to recognize potential physical security gaps, learn how physical security directly relates to COBIT and NIST, learn types of controls implemented via hardware and software, and understand why a camera could be your worst nightmare. Presentation topics include:
- What is the current state of data center - data closet physical security
- What are the security risks, controls and myths (I.e. We use TACACS, we are secure; You can't do anything without a user’s account)
- What can you take back today to improve security tomorrow
- Why a breach of physical security could be game over for your business functions
Lunch Menu:
Lunch will be a modern caesar salad with artisan bread, your choice of 6 oz. Petite Filet Mignon or Barbecue New Zealand Salmon served with Creamed Spinach and Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes. Dessert will be a New York Cheesecake. If you desire a vegetarian, or gluten-free option let us know during registration.
Transportation:
Flemings will provide a validation for the Gateway parking lots. You may also ride the UTA light rail for free in the free zone downtown.
