ISACA Victoria is pleased to present Stew Wolfe and Ian Gritter as they discuss Identity and Access Management from an Identity Governance perspective.

Overview:

Identity governance originally emerged as a new category of identity management. It was driven by the requirements of new regulatory mandates. Designed to improve transparency and manageability, identity governance gives organizations better visibility to identities and access privileges and better controls to detect and prevent inappropriate access. As more and more customers deployed identity governance and provisioning solutions together, it became clear that the role, policy, and risk models provided by identity governance were foundational to provisioning and to compliance processes. At the same time, it became clear organizations needed centralized visibility over both on-premises and cloud applications, and data files across the organization.

In this session, we will cover the benefits of Identity Governance as well as integration with other technologies to provide a holistic identity and access management solution for a customer focused in identification, authentication, authorization and governance. We will cover specific approaches to identify who has access to what, how did they get the access, what will they do with the access, is there any sensitive information (GDPR), is the access adequate and can be proven to auditors.
