Dom’s talk will be about the security of the cell phone network, IMSI catchers and how it all affects your smartphone. This presentation will also include notable incidents that involve cell phone networks and IMSI catchers.

Speaker

Dom Kapac has been working in cybersecurity for 14 years currently working as a Senior Security Analyst at the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure where he works in securing internet of things devices that the Ministry extensively uses. He also volunteers as a Deputy Director of the Saanich Emergency Program’s Communications Section. Dom has a keen interest all forms of electronic communications.

CPE

This event is eligible for 1.5 CPE credits for ISACA and may be eligible for CPE credits with other professional organizations.

Cancellation Policy

You must cancel by Friday prior to the event to avoid cancellation fees. ISACA Victoria Chapter must pay the Union Club the full cost for all registrations, regardless of whether there is a late cancellation or ‘no show’. If you cannot cancel your registration prior to the Friday before the event or are unable to arrange for a substitute, you will be required to reimburse the Chapter and will be invoiced accordingly.
