ISACA Victoria AGM and Evening Social with Jillian Carruthers, BC Gov CISO – June 19, 2024

ISACA Victoria is pleased to announce that Jillian Carruthers, BC Gov CISO will be joining us for an evening social. Jillian will be talking about the never-ending race: proactive cybersecurity.
Location: INN AT LAUREL POINT, Rogers Suite - 651
Appetizers and drinks will be provided.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The AGM will commence towards the end of the social and is expected to take about 30 minutes. Please stay and support your local chapter as they welcome new board members.

We invite you to get involved with the ISACA Victoria Board and reap the benefits of volunteering by:
- Influencing the local direction of ISACA Victoria
- Working closely with peers in your industry
- Collaborating with ISACA International
- Planning and input on local ISACA events
- Earning CPE hours (20 CPE annually) *
(*Note: this is half of what you need to maintain your ISACA certifications)
The positions that will be returning for the second year of a two-year term and do not require new board members for this upcoming year are as follows:

- Academic Relations Director: Upasana Kapoor
- Communications Director: Stan Andersen
- Programs Director: Divya Iyengar
The positions that will be voted on at the AGM are as follows:

Voting will take place electronically. The link will be sent to all ISACA Victoria members who register for the AGM or social (in-person).
If you are interested in running for a position on the Victoria Chapter Board, let us know of your intentions to run by sending an email to board@isacavictoria.ca. Rest assured, there will be a few board members staying on who are experienced and happy to help you succeed in any position you are interested in.
If you are unable to attend the AGM, you can let us know of your intentions to run for a position by sending an email to board@isacavictoria.ca anytime up until the AGM.
Previous board experience or having an ISACA certification is not a requirement. New members are encouraged to apply and participate. Service on the board counts towards CPEs for certified members. Board meetings are currently held online, and we look forward to having in-person social events in the coming year.
