Hi Everyone,

Jerry Chan will be joining us for April's Cyber Security session to speak to us about Cybersecurity Audit’s of Large Financial Institutions.

About Jerry:

Jerry is the Cybersecurity Advisor for Plurilock Security, and his role is to help companies resolve cybersecurity concerns with Plurilock’s solutions.

Previously he was BNY Mellon’s Global Head of Internal Audit Cybersecurity with 20+ years of tech experience. Jerry lead a team spread across the globe, assessing the internal cybersecurity controls and the firm’s overall security posture. He has established a diverse group of SMEs in technology, regulations, and operations to drive value through his work. He has established communication channels and relationships crossing geographical locations, functional titles, and businesses to tap into the firm’s core technologies and operations, which he utilizes in all his assessments. Each audit is more comprehensive, and each finding is more valuable to the company.

Outside of his work responsibilities, Jerry is very involved in promoting community events, including cybersecurity education and awareness, hosting hack-a-thons at local schools, and working with the New York City Emergency Management to prepare in case of an emergency or natural disaster. He believes strongly in giving back through VetNet (Veterans Network), an Employee Resource Group for veterans and military members who work at firms or are transitioning to a corporate career.

Jerry is also active in emergency management operations, such as a Community Advisor for NYC Health and Hospitals for Test and Trace and Vaccine program. He is well recognized for his work in the community during Sandy and was honored for this work by the Mets (David Wright Award) and numerous elected officials. Some of them even included him in their election campaign materials. Jerry also serves on Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation Board, US Selective Service District Appeal Board, and Queens College Tech Incubator Advisory Board. He is also a member of InfraGard.
