Description:

The COBIT Product Task Force will provide feedback on the potential development of a COBIT assessor model and an individual consultant program. This group will help evaluate the structure, value, and implementation considerations for these possible offerings, including participant requirements, market needs, and alignment with ISACA’s strategic goals. Feedback from the Task Force will help inform whether and how these COBIT-related programs should be developed and supported. 

 

Anticipated outcomes: 

Volunteers will virtually meet monthly to: 

  • Gather feedback from professionals on the potential development of a COBIT assessor model and individual consultant program. 
  • Identify key themes related to market need, participant interest, program value, and implementation considerations.  
  • Better understand how ISACA can structure and support COBIT-based assessor and consultant offerings to meet practitioner and organizational needs.  
  • Collect input on program eligibility, competencies, validation requirements, training needs, and possible pathways for participation.  
  • Help inform future strategy, program design, and decision-making related to COBIT assessor and consultant offerings.  
  • Establish a group of subject matter experts and practitioners who may provide ongoing feedback as these concepts are further evaluated and developed. 
  • This Task Force is anticipated to reform for a 2027 term. Volunteers may be invited to participate again for an additional 10 CPE

 

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Experienced professionals with significant knowledge of and experience with the COBIT framework.  
  • Individuals who have implemented COBIT within their organizations and/or provided consulting or advisory services using COBIT.  
  • Professionals who consider themselves subject matter experts in COBIT and can provide informed, practical feedback.  
  • Willingness to share perspectives on the potential development of a COBIT assessor model and individual consultant program.  
  • Ability to participate in virtual discussions and provide constructive feedback in a group setting.  
  • Basic conversational familiarity with the English language to discuss and provide feedback.  
  • ISACA Membership not required.  
  • ISACA certifications not required.  
  • No prior volunteer experience required.  

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term. This activity is aligned to an Exam Content Outline (ECO)

  • Potential to influence the design and direction of new COBIT-related programs and professional pathways
  • Chance to help shape how ISACA supports professionals and organizations using COBIT
