Description:

The I&T Risk Advisory Board will partner with ISACA Global to identify industry trends and support activities required to appropriately create the necessary information technology risk content to develop products in support of ISACA’s constituents. New product ideas will be discussed, and products will be prioritized in alignment with ISACA global strategy.

Anticipated outcomes:

The Information & Technology Risk Advisory Board will support the development and release of deliverables designed to serve the needs of ISACA’s constituents who are in the information & technology risk profession and for those who look to join the profession. Activities may include:

  • Identifying and prioritizing the needs of IT risk professionals engaged in providing enterprise and information technology risk services for some components of IT systems, applications, and
  • Analyzing the existing market need for risk products and services and identifying ISACA’s position in the market.
  • Identifying and prioritizing the gaps that can be uniquely filled by ISACA frameworks, knowledge products, education, and
  • Identifying areas where ISACA can benefit from collaborative development activities, partnerships or other relationships and recommend third parties for consideration.

One in-person meeting is anticipated during the term (schedule and location TBD.)

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Current risk practitioner or risk management role. Expertise and industry representation are preferred over geographic diversity.
  • Understanding the infromation risk market including certifications and sources of knowledge currently available for professionals.
  • Knowledge of ISACA frameworks, products, certifications and services.
  • CRISC certification preferred.
  • ISACA membership preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel to at least one in-person meeting (schedule, location TBD.)

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term.
