Description:

This group of volunteers will participate in the review of a white paper about the board’s role in privacy. Topics covered in the white paper include privacy by design, privacy as a human right and developing privacy programs that look beyond compliance. 

Anticipated outcomes:

The volunteers will support the delivery of a white paper on the topic of privacy by reviewing a draft white paper for technical accuracy.

It is expected that the draft document will be available for review by early or mid-June 2020. Volunteer reviewers will have a couple weeks to complete their reviews and to provide feedback to the ISACA Privacy Professional Practices Associate. The timeline may adjust depending on production schedule.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Current knowledge of and experience in privacy.
  • Knowledge of privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience communicating importance of privacy to boards of directors.
  • Geographic area considered for diversity.
  • ISACA membership not required.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 3 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the review.
