Description:

ISACA is creating risk scenario templates to assist members with assessing and communicating risk to senior leadership. Volunteer subject matter experts are needed to help complete the templates and verify that they are accurate and relevant to other risk professionals. 

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Phase 1: Complete the Templates (21 June – 21 July)
    • 2 volunteers will be assigned to each of the 19 scenario categories complete the risk scenario template for existing scenarios and add new scenarios if necessary.
  • Phase 2: Gap Analysis (26 July – 9 August)
    • 2 volunteers will be assigned to each of the 19 scenario categories (excluding their assignment from Phase 1) to review the content and determine whether they are complete and accurate and identify any significant and relevant scenarios that may be missing.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • ISACA Membership not required.
  • CRISC preferred but not required.
  • Geographic area representation required.
  • Current IT risk professional: Volunteer must have at least 3 years’ experience developing risk scenarios, and identifying, assessing and responding to IT risk.
  • Volunteers must participate in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 but will receive different category assignments.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 16 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the term. (8 CPE credits will be applied for each completed phase.)
  • Influence product development to assist risk professionals with communicating risk to leadership
