Description:

This group of volunteers will participate in the review of a white paper about the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity, specifically regarding blue team security operations.  High-level topics covered in the white paper include the current applications, benefits, challenges, future implementations, and overall outlook of AI in cybersecurity.

Anticipated outcomes:

The volunteers will support the delivery of a white paper on the topic of ‘AI in cybersecurity’ by reviewing a draft white paper for technical accuracy.

It is expected that the draft document will be available for review by mid-to-late August 2021. Volunteer reviewers will have a little over a week to complete their reviews and to provide feedback to the ISACA IT Professional Practices Lead. The timeline may adjust depending on production schedule.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Current knowledge of and experience in blue team cybersecurity.
  • Current knowledge of and experience in AI.
  • Familiarity with working in or managing Security Operations Centers (SOCs).
  • Knowledge of network security controls, specifically IDS and IPS.
  • Geographic area considered for diversity.
  • ISACA membership not required.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 3 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the term (i.e., research development, certification review manual development, Knowledge Center contributor, performing peer reviews.)
