Description:

Identify opportunities in the healthcare IT market and outline how ISACA can help this audience connect the dots between their challenges and the solutions ISACA can provide to address them. Specifically looking to leverage ISACA certs, COBIT, GDPR.

Anticipated outcomes:

The healthcare engagement task force will support the development and delivery of a report or presentation clearly outlining opportunities in the healthcare IT space and the role that ISACA could take in addressing challenges through its certifications and training programs. As part of this work, this task force will be:

  • Participating in monthly calls via Skype/conference calls
  • Identifying and prioritizing the needs of IT professionals in the healthcare segment
  • Identifying and prioritizing the gaps that can be uniquely filled by ISACA frameworks, knowledge products, education, certifications, and
  • Analyzing the existing market need specifically for audit, governance, and GDPR training products
  • Identifying areas where ISACA can benefit from collaborative development activities, partnerships or other relationships and recommend third parties for consideration.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Current experience in the healthcare IT industry, specifically in the audit/governance areas
  • Understanding the unique challenges IT professionals in the industry face and the skills needed by such professionals in order to grow in their careers and benefit their organizations
  • Knowledge of ISACA frameworks, products, certifications and services.
  • CISA and/or CISM certification required.
  • Knowledge of GDPR implications in the healthcare industry to gauge whether ISACA can step in and provide training

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 10 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups (i.e., active participation on an ISACA working group with a charge other than research development, certification review manual development, Knowledge Center contribution, or peer review.)
