2020 @ISACA Certification Interviews

Certification interviews appear monthly in @ISACA, ISACA’s biweekly e-newsletter sent to all members and ISACA certification holders. These interviews are aimed at people who are considering earning a CISA, CRISC, CISM or CGEIT certification. The purpose of these interviews is to highlight how your experience with a CISA, CRISC, CISM or CGEIT certification have enhanced your professional and personal lives. Participants will be asked to contribute on a one-time basis. In their interviews, ISACA members who have at least one of these certifications will share some information about themselves and why they chose to pursue this certification, how they prepared for it and how it has shaped their careers. Participants will receive a list of 12 questions to answer. ISACA staff will then use these answers to develop and write an article highlighting how the highlighted certification(s) can facilitate career growth. All interview subjects will be asked to provide a headshot of themselves to accompany the article and provide their job title, company name and any titles/positions held on ISACA committees.

Some of the topics the questions will cover include:

• How the certification has affected you professionally and personally
• The challenges you face in your job and how your certification(s) help address those challenges
• What you enjoy doing outside of the office
• Any new opportunities (professional and personal) you have had because of the certification

Volunteer Criteria:

• ISACA membership required
• Must have a CISA, CRISC, CISM and/or CGEIT certification
• Must currently be working within the related profession of the certification

Volunteer Benefits:

• Expertise will be shared with more than 100,000 ISACA members and certification holders
• Those selected to participate can earn continuing professional education (CPE) hours for this opportunity. The number of hours is equal to the amount of time taken to write the responses and review/approve the final product. Volunteers must self-claim their hours after the interview has been finalized.
