Description:

Since the 2020 Privacy in Practice conference is virtual, the online Engage community will serve as a virtual environment for attendees to discuss ideas, share resources and knowledge, and build their network. Attendees can also engage in conversations about the conference sessions, keynotes, and interact with speakers and sponsors. 2020 Privacy in Practice virtual community volunteers will support the success of the online conference community by working with the staff facilitator to coordinate discussions. Volunteers will initiate conversations pre-conference by posting networking questions and various other topic questions related to 2020 Privacy in Practice as well as ensure that their questions receive responses. Volunteers will also engage attendees during and after the conference by posing questions relating to the conference sessions to continue the conversation.

 

2020 Privacy in Practice Virtual Conference will take place 8 December 2020. The online community will be accessible for registered conference attendees November – December to provide a comprehensive experience for all participants.

 

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Attendees will have a positive experience networking with each other and with speakers and continue conversations pre- and post-event about professional topics.
  • Volunteers will post engaging questions and respond to other conference attendees within the community discussion.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Volunteer role begins on 26 October 2020 or the day that your application is accepted
  • Must have already registered for 2020 Privacy in Practice virtual conference. Volunteer applications will not be considered until registration is complete.
  • Ability to engage individuals and maintain discussion threads in a professional manner
  • Confidence in using the Engage platform
  • Creativity in identifying topics and ways to create more networking and interaction among attendees.
  • Volunteers must understand the community guidelines and report questionable content to ISACA.
  • Volunteers must receive the daily digest of community activity and plan to log in at least 2-4 times per week November– December to ensure all questions are answered and new content is added regularly.

 

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 5 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the term.(This is in addition to the CPEs conference attendees earn for attending sessions.)
  • Opportunity to network with conference attendees from around the world.
  • Learn from speakers and colleagues and get more in-depth analysis and conversations around the conference topics.
