2021 Oceania Conference Support Task Force

The ISACA Conference Oceania Support Task Force will work with the Event Manager to develop strategy on their region’s conference execution. This being the first of the new ISACA Conferences to be held in the Oceania region, the Event Operations & Services team is looking to collaborate with local members to ensure that this conference continues to give Oceania region professionals the relevant content and guidance that the former CACS conferences did. Anticipated outcomes:

• Task force will meet monthly via Microsoft Teams to discuss the strategy in how we will execute a successful event. Including one post event debrief call.
• Marketing - Task Force will recommend appropriate vehicle and communication techniques to increase attendance and awareness of the Conference. Ensure ISACA Global Marketing plan resonates with regional audiences. Utilize Task Force in various promotion activities (i.e. social media, chapter outreach, industry connections, etc.).
• Sponsorship – Volunteers understand companies within the region who would have benefit to sponsor at an ISACA event. Volunteers will not act as salespeople but rather provide introductions to grow ISACA’s connections.
• Provide recommendations for promotional items and vendors to produce onsite materials.
• Provide event support as requested during the conference 28-30 September.

ISACA Global will have final decision-making authority on all Conference components and services.

Volunteer Criteria:

• ISACA membership required
• Experience and knowledge in the areas of sponsorship, marketing and/or event management
• Geographic representation within Conference region
• Ability to attend Oceania Conference 28-30 September 2021
• Previous ISACA Global conference attendance preferred  
• Comfortable and confidence with speaking in front of large groups preferred
• Must be fluent in speaking, writing and reading in English to facilitate productive discussions with ISACA Global

Volunteer benefits:

• Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term.
• Travel expenses reimbursed and registration to ISACA regional conference per ISACA’s business travel policy.  
• Conference CPEs may be claimed for sessions attended during the conference, but session attendance is not guaranteed based on onsite conference support needs.
