Title: Planning in a VUCA world

The world is becoming increasingly volatile, uncertain, complicated, and ambiguous, thanks to the exponential increase in the rate of change and the huge shifts in social values. What got you here won't get you there. This is particularly evident when we think about planning for the future. The complexity forces us to admit that the future is unforeseeable. We need adaptability which is a combination of agility and resilience. Fixed plans are theatre, they are waste. All we can prepare is vision and options.
