In this two-part session, they will teach their audiences about the intersection of scientific analysis and the role that forensic analysis of digital media recordings can play in an investigation. Edward and Michael will also present their secrets to investigative technique with audio, video, and image recordings. In addition, they will share tools and techniques they have acquired from the field as well as from formal training.

Part 1: Edward Primeau will discuss the digital media forensic industry, the role of a digital media expert witness in court, the role video evidence plays in court, as well as share case studies from his 35-year practice.

Part 2: Michael Primeau will present best practices, scientific methodology, freeware programs on real cases in digital media forensic investigations such as enhancement, authentication, recovery, and comparison investigations from a technician’s perspective.

Not only will they share their expertise with the audiences, they will present tangible applications of forensic analysis and how it can benefit investigation and litigation.
