In recent months, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) have clamped down on data security and third-party risk management within the insurance sector, with the view that all organisations should know who their third-party suppliers are, the security arrangements around customer data and how staff are vetted.The FCA have already imposed fines of £4.8m this year and therefore it has become important to implement an effective risk strategy to avoid penalisation.
