Speaker Bios

Juanita DeSouza - Huletey

B.A (Hons), MA, PMP, ALEP, BRM, PROSCI, ITIL (Board of Governors, University of Manitoba)

Juanita DeSouza - Huletey is a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Manitoba. She is an accomplished Information Technology Management professional with over 30 years of industry experience, over 25 in leadership positions, most notably being the first female divisional head of IT at Winnipeg Police Service. As an educator at both the University of Winnipeg and Red River College, she loves to impart knowledge and share her professional/personal experiences. Juanita plays an active role within her community/industry, serving on several committees and boards at the executive/advisory level including Board Advisor for WiCYS Western Canada. She chaired the WCB United Way leading to the best results in WCBs history. As a mentor and speaker, she radiates a deep passion for empowering women/girls in STEM, and helps new immigrants integrate successfully into Canadian culture. She obtained her Master's Degree from the University of Manitoba and holds several professional designations and certificates. She has published papers in international journals and presented papers/reports at international conferences. Juanita is married with three adult sons.

Aarti Gadhia

Champion for Women, Author, Speaker, Cybersecurity Sales Manager

Aarti Gadhia is originally from Kenya. She moved to the UK to pursue a degree in Financial Economics. In 2004 she immigrated to Vancouver Canada and currently works for Bugcrowd. Her mission is to break down barriers and boundaries to achieve equality for underrepresented groups in STEM and in leadership. She founded StandoutToLead to empower women in cybersecurity to join corporate boards. She also founded SHE (Sharing Her Empowerment) with the mission to be a collective voice within the organization to influence change and close the gender diversity gap. Aarti joined the OWASP Vancouver Board to increase diversity and encourage women to be speakers. She also volunteers her time with ISACA Vancouver She Leads Tech to build partnerships and WiCYS Western Canada as a Board Advisor. She was recently quoted in Canadian Security Magazine as she shared her views on the importance of soft skills to break down barriers in traditional hiring. Aarti was nominated for the Top 20 Women in Cyber Security Honoree Award by WISECRA and IT World Canada. She recently was a judge for the African Women in Security Network. In 2021, she was featured in "The Rise of the Cyber Women: Volume Two" as she shared her "Safari of Experiences" to be a change agent and pave the path for future generations. Mani Keerthi Nagothu

CISA, CRISC, CISM

Mani is a cybersecurity professional with work experience in different locations in the world. Her experience comprises building cybersecurity strategies, developing security initiatives, incident response, risk assessments, and adopting a holistic approach to security at an enterprise level. Striking balance between business requirements without compromising security has been the goal of her projects. She holds a bachelor of technology in Electronics and Communication and an MBA in Information Security. She also gives guest lectures at Symbiosis International University, India. She also plays an active role in the community and is currently volunteering with the ISACA Vancouver chapter to build partnerships across Canada. She is currently serving as the President of WiCyS Western Canada affiliate through which she wishes to create awareness and encourage more women into cybersecurity.
