The past 18 months have been a watershed moment for the cyber insurance industry, with a very challenging risk environment and a substantial increase in claims volume, in particular ransomware losses, leading to dramatic market changes including contractions in insurer capacity, premium increases, and demands for significant amounts of underwriting information.

ISACA Adelaide Chapter is excited to host Samuel Rogers Managing Principal in leading insurance broking firm Marsh’s specialist cyber insurance practice at our next professional development event on the 2nd of May. Samuel will provide an overview of

Speaker Biography

Samuel Rogers is a Managing Principal in the Marsh Australia Cyber Insurance practice.

Samuel is an experienced insurance practitioner with over 7 years industry experience and has been exclusively focused on cyber and technology risk and insurance since 2015.

Most recently he was tasked with heading JLT Australia’s cyber insurance practice as Account Manager and Cyber Insurance Specialist – a position he held from April 2015 up until commencing as a Managing Principal within Marsh’s expanding cyber team in December 2018. As part of his role he completed a secondment in JLT’s London office, working closely with JLT’s highly experienced Cyber, Technology and Media E&O team there.

Samuel has provided advice on cyber, privacy and technology related risk and placed customised cyber insurance programs for clients across various industries including professional service firms, financial institutions, retail and hospitality organisations, transport and logistics providers, IT service providers, energy and utility companies and not for profit organisations, including several ASX 100 listed companies.

He was named as an Insurance Business Young Gun in 2018 and was nominated for the Insurance Business Award for Broker of the Year – International in 2019.
