Academic Alliances Coordinator

  

Are you passionate about helping the next generation of talent break into the Information Security / Cybersecurity industry? The Academic Alliances Coordinator is tasked with being the lead Central Point of Contact between one or more Universities in Georgia and ISACA Atlanta Chapter to foster collaboration between the two organizations.  The volunteer(s) should possess a passion on fostering the next generation of talent. The volunteer(s) will need to be able to communicate effectively with contacts at the University, be proactive on engaging and planning events, and have great organization skills to keep track of all events. This role will require a moderate amount of volunteer time. The Academic Alliances Coordinator role will report to the Director of Academic Alliances.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and grow university participation by being the assigned point of contact for one (or more) universities. Point of contact should maintain regular cadenced communication with the university (at a minimum monthly).
  • Identify and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at the universities.
  • Sponsor/host collaborative events to encourage participation at the universities.
  • Develop/nurture student groups and encourage/promote student membership.
  • Scholarships and internships through the chapter and members (a defined number of scholarships across all colleges/universities in GA will be defined annually in the budget).
  • Identify/promote speaking engagements.
  • Report back to Director of Academic Alliances any updates to ensure alignment with program goals.
