Oct 19, 2022 CPE Event - Security Awareness and Social Engineering

When:  Oct 19, 2022 from 12:00 to 13:00 (MT)
Associated with  Boise Chapter

Please join us for this online Zoom presentation by Andy Thimmig, Information Security Program Manager, Clearwater Analytics.

Please Note:  Zoom information will be sent in a follow up email to registrant ISACA account email addresses.

Presentation Summary:

People will always be the easiest entry point to any organization. While there are many steps you can and should take to defend your systems from attackers, someone will still likely click the wrong link, share the wrong information, or let the wrong person in the building without proper training. Presentation, focus, variety, frequency, buy-in from management, and other factors contribute to a successful security awareness program and will be discussed.

Bio:

Andy Thimmig has been working in the information security space since 2019. He started as a GRC analyst shortly after earning a Masters in Information Systems with an emphasis on Information Assurance and is now an Information Security Program manager with the GRC team. Information security has always been a passion of his and he's been happy to learn, grow, and lead in the space. He currently is in charge of Security Awareness at Clearwater Analytics and thankfully can lean on his spouse, who has a masters in education, to assist him in trying to improve security at Clearwater.
