Alistair Nicholson CISA, CISM is a member of the Canberra Chapter Board, and has extensive experience in Governance, IT Security and Transformation Projects. One of his transformation projects won a Government Technology Efficiency Award, and another gained him an IBM Asia Pacific Achievement Award. Most recently Alistair has conducted a whole of Department Security uplift assessment. He plans to share aspects of how to approach an assignment in a complex environment and simplify frameworks to identify control points for Governance and Security controls when Agile and Transformation projects are involved.

The latest draft of the Cyber Security Strategy is currently out for consultation and ISACA International are preparing our public submission, and we would love to hear your views! The Australian Government is seeking input from industry and government on a range of topics, including the changing threat environment, the people and skills required to manage risks and capitalise on opportunities and the role of government.  If you haven't seen the paper already, refer to the link below and bring your views along to the Duxton!
