Kylie Watson- Partner, Cybersecurity and Digital Trust - PwC

Kylie is a Partner in the PwC Cybersecurity and Digital trust team with a strong focus on national security, as well as advisory on the security risks when converging people and emerging technologies. Prior to this she was the Australia and New Zealand Service Line Partner for Cybersecurity and Hybrid Cloud in Consulting at IBM (including national security) where she led approximately 450 people across over 65 clients. Kylie is a Cyber Sociologist that particularly likes working with the human side of cyber and risk in emerging technologies, cloud security, firewalls, endpoint security, data risk, AI and offensive cyber.

Most recently she’s been a leader on projects involving the human element and cyber risk in mergers and acquisitions, cyber incident response, security by design, SOC management, GRC (including writing submissions to government on SOCI, Telco and Privacy Act legislation), IBM Watson AI, quantum and SI for IDAM and firewalls - across most industries. In her very early career Kylie was in the military and worked in engineering. Last year she was highly commended by the AWSN for being a security mentor for emerging female leaders in Cyber and has a track record of mentoring both men and women to achieve diversity and inclusion.
