Bio: James Houston II is the Managing Director of the Facilities and Building Management Software Commission, He holds a Degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with minors in Geo Spatial Analysis and Mathematics. He has worked in the IT / Computer Science for over 10 years. He has held roles such as IT Director at the University Level, Jr / Sr Software Developer, and Penetration Tester. His current role is to develop the Governor's Cyber Security Curriculum for the State of Arkansas 7th -12th grade. He is also a die hard Sacramento Kings Fan.
Topic:
The next generation of cyber professionals are being developed now. Their ability to navigate the dark corners of the virtual world must be as seamless as doing a google search. It is imperative that their training begins at an early age. However, with that training we must instill in them ethical conduct and patriotism. This session will discuss the curriculum established to give our next generation the necessary skills to engage in the Information Economy.
